More than 25 years based in Barcelona, yet still Brazilian to the core.

He started working at Sao Paulo for a study of serigraphs for shirts, then he went to London to study at the Chelsea School of Art and finally landed in Barcelona in the early 80s.

His work is a direct reflection of his passion for Brazilian, African and Mexican popular culture, but also refers to recurrent major role that music occupies in his life.

Flavio is an illustrator pure and applies his talent to many different formats: books (publishing April, Simon & Schuster, Companhia das Letras, Kalandraka), advertising (Levi's, Fiorucci, Lee, ONCE), magazines and newspapers (The New Yorker Magazine, Vogue, Marie Claire, The New Republic magazine, Playboy, La Vanguardia, El Pais, El Mundo), product design (boxes Camper, cups, curtains bathrooms and aprons for Cha-Cha, watches Watchcelona) , animation pieces (Canal +, Volkswagen, Coca-Cola) and large-scale murals (agency Soon in Tokyo, Negroni cocktail bar, Sampaka shop, restaurant Ravalo).

Apart from the contract works, he made several solo and group exhibitions.
